So after two weeks of doing my play- and having people tell me how much they are enjoying it, I feel complete relief. Roger Ebert came on Sunday- as did Richard Roeper. The crowd was loud and enthusiastic all weekend. I am so sad that I took such a long break from theater- because I forgot just how much fun it all can be.
I got a chance to meet some people who just happened to hear about my show on The Loop- and so they came to the show. Greg and Maria. Soooo nice! I also met a woman named Penelope who heard me on WGN with Steve Cochran. She brought her friend who just lost her father, and they were very sweet. Steve is coming to see the show this Thursday night. I hope we pack the houses. Spread the word- and get out and support live theater!!
Hi Jen, I was at your show
Hi Jen,
I was at your show last weekend. Loved it!
Just wanted to tell you what a wonderfully positive thing you have done with your experience of losing your Dad. I appreciated your honesty, humor, & genuine emotion on stage. I too lost my Dad to cancer & related to much of your story. During the play I cried, I laughed, it felt good to be understood.
I'm telling many of my friends/family of your play & book with hope the word gets out.
Thank you for sharing.
Michele
thank you!!
Michele-
I am so thrilled you enjoyed the show- sorry for the delayed response- I've been playing "catch up" after the show closed. I sure would like to be able to keep the show alive somehow. Keep an eye on the website- because when the dvd is edited, you can spread the word that way..
Blessings-
Jen
